Activision today confirmed that the 2099 universe (if you want to know what this means, hit up Marvel for a first step) will be the third dimension that the player visits in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, in addition to the already revealed Amazing and Noir universes.

With a band-themed music game -- Green Day Rock Band being no exception -- it's too easy to say "if you like the band Green Day, you'll like the game. If you hate Green Day, this probably won't change your mind." But this game presents more than just a simple Rock Band expansion with new songs. Just like The Beatles Rock Band, the featured group injects their personality into everything from the menus and in-game performances to the unlockable live concert footage. Though, also like The Beatles Rock Band, Green Day fails to try anything truly innovative. Still, developer Harmonix proves that they not only know how to craft a fine music game, they know how to pick just the right subject matter, as well.

Yakuza 4 Launching Internationally Spring 2011

Yakuza 3 has been a well-received, if controversial release from Sega this year. While critically acclaimed (we gave it an A-) it suffered several cuts to aspects that series fans consider integral, such as the complete loss of mahjong mini-games and an entire Hostess Club management feature. However, it seems that the series' grassroots support won out over its arguably crippled release, as Sega has confirmed that its direct sequel Yakuza 4 will see a Western release in Spring 2011 as a PS3-exclusive.

Rockstar Skipping E3, Rumored to Have Canceled Announcement

First 3D PlayStation 3 Games Coming June 10 in Japan
