Those of you cracking open your new Xbox 360 copies of Mass Effect 2 may have noticed something missing from the free day-one downloadable content. A post on the BioWare Forums (via Joystiq) explains the mercenary Zaeed (above) is unavailable for the Xbox 360, and will be coming tomorrow or Thursday instead. Zaeed is just one of several pieces of planned day-one DLC through the Cerberus Network, and the others are said to be working fine.
BioWare's history with downloadable content has been spotty recently, particularly in regards to the Xbox 360. The company's other recent hit RPG, Dragon Age: Origins, hit a delay snag with the Return to Ostagar DLC mission. It was later released, then quickly pulled. Launching a new game with ambitious DLC plans is a difficult task, so hopefully BioWare sorts this snag out as quickly as they expect.
