Co-op shooter would have been out around the time that BioShock was released.

Resident Evil notwithstanding, Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 are the definitive zombie games these days. But what if BioShock developer Irrational Games had preempted Valve by releasing a co-op shooter where you fought off waves of zombies long before L4D was ever released to the public? That's a reality that could have been, were Irrational not sold to Take Two when it was.

Valve asks for bot feedback on new forum, A.I. players only good for King of the Hill mode.

Hot on the heels of the recent War update, the Team Fortress 2 team is giving users another reason to keep playing the team-based shooter: bot beta testing. The company is soliciting feedback on bots, and detailed the move in a blog post. Apparently the team has been using lessons learned from Left 4 Dead to experiment with them for the last year. While the bots are still unfinished, Valve is rolling them out for public play to get feedback on bugs and suggestions.
