Most of us who followed the news already knew that Battlefield 3 wasn’t appearing on Steam since the info leaked from a retailer meeting pretty much saying Battlefield 3 won’t be appearing on Steam. However, Electronic Arts has officially notified their users (and the gaming community at large) that Battlefield 3 won’t be on Steam due to Valve’s terms of service that restricts EA’s ‘ability to connect directly with consumers’. Just yesterday, Valve launched a new website to encourage modders to create and submit custom items (including weapons, hats, and avatars) for Team Fortress 2. After submission, Valve will review the content and, once approved, will be added to your TF2 backpack for use while playing. But even more excitingly, items will also be cycled into the random item drops, meaning that not only you, but anyone else playing TF2 could potentially end up using ...
Team Fortress 2 Experimenting with Bots

Valve asks for bot feedback on new forum, A.I. players only good for King of the Hill mode.
Hot on the heels of the recent War update, the Team Fortress 2 team is giving users another reason to keep playing the team-based shooter: bot beta testing. The company is soliciting feedback on bots, and detailed the move in a blog post. Apparently the team has been using lessons learned from Left 4 Dead to experiment with them for the last year. While the bots are still unfinished, Valve is rolling them out for public play to get feedback on bugs and suggestions.
