Ubisoft was just getting started with its live-action Assassin's Creed promos. According to Variety, the developer is now working with a pair of Oscar winners to create a 30-minute Ghost Recon: Future Soldier film.

January 27 event heavily rumored to be Apple's tablet coming-out party.
Rumors have been circulating for months that Apple's next big thing is a tablet device nicknamed the "iSlate." Speculation has suggested it could be used for touch-based games akin to the iPhone. Those same rumors heated up recently as Apple sent out media invites for a special event to take place on January 27. Now the Wall Street Journal Online reports that the tablet debut may include an appearance from EA. "Apple is also working with videogame publisher Electronic Arts Inc. to show off the tablet's game capabilities," the report states. The iPhone's App Store became one of its most popular features, especially for its wide range of games. It's conceivable Apple is planning a similar service for the tablet device.
