Aside from Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Call of duty 2 is my second favorite of all time in FPS games...its a very well thought out game, the campaigns are fascinating and game play though flawed in some aspects -like other reviews have pointed out- is still very enjoyable.
I gave this game 5 stars for three main reasons:
1- If you're like me fascinated with everything WWII you'll love this game just as much as I do, and despite the fact that I've played different newer COD games and FPS in general I still go back and play this particular one every now and then.
2- I think the current average rating of 4 stars for this game is a kind of undermines the game a little bit. this game though some might think it doesn't deserve a 5 stars average rating it deserves at least a 4.5-4.7 in my opinion so I'm giving a 5 stars to bring that average up a bit.
3- The Call of Duty Franchise...the name it self has given millions of players so much entertainment over the years and it deserves to be recognized for its consistency and continued success. (Posted on 6/9/11)

Battlefield Diaries: 1942 October 29, at 7 pm El Alamein
Our class was assigned the task of staging attacks on German troops, the plan is to attract the attention of the northern German. Without fuel and munitions supplies, Rommel's Afrika Korps will not be in the open desert to survive.
Thomson put the hands of the task after the start of submachine gun, the left front of the fortifications, there are several Devils, throwing grenades in the past to kill them, and won 1st base. Trench ran along the end of the slope through the flak from the left to jump to another trench, along the first two locations it finds, after seizing control of machine gun fire near the German soldiers. Forward to find a bunker along the trench, go see a vertical ladder, be careful the enemy dropped from the roof to the grenade, so they climb up the ladder after the explosion along the top of the bunker to win the first three positions. Ran along the trench and meet Captain Price and then with the German troops towards the front of the outpost attack, note that around three barrels to detonate after the control to a nearby outpost fortifications where to find arsenal, arsenal all the three fried out, then attack and teammates won the bunker on the hill, to find a confidential document in which, out with teammates meet to complete the task.

Great graphics and sound. Scripts are better built than that of CoD1.
Great addition to your list of games if you like CoD series.
