Play this game before you play the second. I highly suggest it. One of the reasons this game is so good is because of the story.

I don't understand how anyone can be critical of this game though. Its amazing. I couldn't stop playing it at all. The only complaint I have is the side missions (while important) feel worthless and long and tedious. They also keep reusing the framework for many places again and again so it feels like you've already been to a place that is supposedly new.

Other than that one complaint, the game is really good. If you want to play a new game, I suggest this one. (Posted on 4/11/11)

I bought and played Mass Effect 2 before I bought this one and because of the upgrades on Mass Effect 2 I didn't like this one as much. There is long game play on this and you can export your character into Mass Effect 2. Its harder to do the weapon trading thing in this one. It was probably a really good top of the line game when it first came out. I think you can make the players hook up in this one too. (Posted on 4/6/11)

Mass Effect's dialogue system is simple and easy to understand, is divided into left and right columns, subdivided into three types of options on the middle and lower, so that the contents of the player decided to answer the more confident, wrong answer choose the opposite.
